On 7th and 8th of June, 2018 a group of professors from different faculties had attended the training for Continuous Professional Development for Teachers in Active Teaching and Learning Strategies and Technology Enhanced Learning.
The training was organised within Erasmus+ Staff Development Programme, on the base of Inter-institutional Agreement between State Agrarian University of Moldova and Kingston University London, UK.
Mr. James Beardsmore and Dr. Tania Fonseca, Lecturer in Higher Education at Kingston University, London performed the teaching assignment.
The overall aim of the workshop was to critical discuss and demonstrate a number of active learning approaches such as problem-solving learning, flipped classroom and technology enhanced learning. Participants were encouraged to be critical and consider how these approaches would benefit and challenges their respective teaching approaches and disciplines. The workshop had culminated in a pragmatic exercise designed to provide participants with a draft framework from which the demonstrated active learning approaches could be promoted within their respective institution.
By the end of the workshop, participants were able to demonstrate multiple active learning approaches, articulate the benefits and challenges of different teaching approaches, and design a framework for implementing new teaching approaches.
At the end of training the participants were handed the certificates of participation.
