Veronica Prisacaru, Dean of the Faculty

It’s the youngest faculty within our university being created as a structural subdivision in 2004. Earlier, the instruction of future accountants was made within the Faculty of Agronomy (1964-1965) and within the Faculty of Economics (1965-2004). The first series of graduates - economists in accountancy – was recorded in 1967. During these years, about 9000 accountants have been prepared here.

At present the faculty has 3 departments which include more than 40 teachers, including 2 doctor habilitatus and 14 doctors in economics.

The faculty’s staff made plentiful researches concerning the elaboration of some advanced methods for consumptions book-keeping, calculation of vegetal and animal products cost and recommendations concerning consumptions accounting and calculation of agricultural products cost; economic efficiency increase of different agricultural branches; processes setting of production machines and equipment in the agrarian sector; technical-economic optimization of capital investments in agriculture.

At present, more than 1500 students study within this faculty, in 2 cycles:

Cycle I – higher bachelor studies

The term of studies is 3 years

Specialities:

  • Accounting

The graduates obtain the degree: Licentiate in economic sciences

 

Cycle II – higher master degree studies

The term of studies is 2 years

Specialities:

  • Accounting and audit in the agro-alimentary sector
  • Accounting of the enterprises from the agro-alimentary sector
  • Audit of the enterprises from the agro-alimentary sector

The graduates obtain the degree: Master in economic sciences

Doctor’s degree studies

Scientific specialities:

  • Accounting
  • Audit
  • Economic analysis

The graduates obtain the degree: Doctor in economics
