All staff members from CASEE universities and colleagues from other research institutions in CASEE countries are invited to submit an abstract by 14^th of February  2022. Participation in the conference and the presentation of the papers/posters will provide feedback for the authors to improve the papers in order to be submitted into various journals (some of them are listed below). Therefore, the conference aims not only to discuss its topic and subtopics but also to assist the participants in improving their papers for submission in many journals. The submission will depend on the guidelines of the journals, like is the case of "Die Bodenkultur: Journal of Land Management, Food and Environment". This journal has kindly offered the partnership to CASEE:

Publishing Partnership of   "Die Bodenkultur: Journal of Land Management, Food and Environment" and "CASEE - The ICA Regional Network for Central and South Eastern Europe"  for publishing Invited Papers based on presentations given at the 12th CASEE Conference in 2022 at the State Agrarian University of Moldova from 22nd to 24th June 2022.

"Die Bodenkultur: Journal of Land Management, Food and Environment" is an interdisciplinary forum dedicated to all aspects of research in rural areas. The aim of the journal is to provide an international outlet for new results in all disciplines of land management, food, environment and related subjects.

The CASEE Board will invite authors of selected presentations from the CASEE Conference to submit a manuscript to the journal "Die Bodenkultur". Papers will be marked as "Invited papers" with reference to the CASEE Network and the 12th CASEE Conference in Chisinau on their title page.

Manuscripts must be full research papers and have to be prepared according to the standards of the journal (Instructions for authors can be found at the journal homepage: https://sciendo-parsed-data-feed.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/BOKU/Instructions_for_Authors.pdf). Manuscripts shall be submitted until 15th September 2022.

Papers can be written in English or in German. Title, abstract, keywords and tables and graphs captions have to be presented in both languages. 

 Assistance during the whole submission and revision process will be provided by the journals Managing Editor Reinhard Neugschwandtner (reinhard.neugschwandtner@boku.ac.at). 

There are also other journals where the participants in the 12th CASEE Conference are encouraged to submit their papers after their presentation at CASEE conference. The review of the submitted papers is not in the hands of the conference organizers or CASEE board but depends on the rules of the journals, as indicated in the case of Die Bodenkultur. However, participation in the conference increases the chances for a positive review process because the ideas are discussed before the submission. 

Special information for PhD students  

PhD students from CASEE universities are specially invited to submit an abstract for a poster or oral presentation in one of the subthemes of the conference. The conference is a great opportunity to discuss their research findings in an international community because it provides international feedback. The deadline for the submission of the abstracts is 14^th of February  2022. Up to 20 PhD students will be exempt from the conference fee based on the evaluation of submitted abstracts; the students will be notified about the fee waiver by 31^st March 2022.

Instructions for preparation of abstracts  

• Abstracts and papers/posters must be written in English.  
• Abstracts should contain the aim of the paper/poster, essential results and a brief conclusion. The authors are advised not to make the abstracts too short or too general (the size of the abstract is 1500 – 3500 characters, including spaces).  
• Abstracts must include 3-5 keywords, separated by commas.  
• Abstracts should not contain tables, graphs, drawings, etc.  

The abstracts of all oral presentations and posters will be published in a CASEE Conference 2022 Book of Abstracts (PDF).
